Can you make cakes to accommodate my special dietary needs?
Most of our cakes are made with eggs, flour, sugar and dairy products. We can make substitutions and try to accommodate your dietary needs, however, because of possible cross contamination, we can’t guarantee that the product given will meet those needs. We clean and sanitze our dishes and work space often, but do not feel that we can safely recommend these substitutions for those with severe allergies. (For example, we can make a product without peanuts, but we do keep peanut products in our kitchen, so a reaction is still possible.)
What methods of payment do you accept?
We send all of our invoices through Square so you can securely pay with your debit/credit card. Square is our default invoicing system, but if you would like to pay with Venmo, we will also accept payment through there. We keep digital records of all payments so we do not accept cash payments or checks. All payments must be made in US dollars.
Can I pick up my cake instead of having it delivered? What is the safest way to transport my cake?
We recommend delivery for all cakes but you may opt to pick the cake up yourself. We will provide you with some tips on transporting it safely if you should decide to pick up yourself. How are your cakes priced?
We determine the cost of your cake by factoring the cost of ingredients, supplies and time spent on your order. Most of the time, it averages to approximately $3.00-$5.00 a serving. Each cake varies on complexity of design and some may take longer than others, so the price for one cake may not be the same for another. We provide free quotes on all cakes and can give options to fit your budget.
What kind of events do you make cakes for?
All kinds! Our most popular are birthdays, but we also offer cakes for:
- Baby showers
- Gender Reveals
- Religious ceremonies
- Retirement/promotion ceremonies
- Corporate events
- Bachelor/bachelorette parties
- Seasonal parties
- School events/fundraisers
- Charities and/or Non-Profit Organizations
How far in advance should I order my cake?
We ask that all orders be placed at least thirty days in advance so we can place orders for toppers, decor, stands and other items that can’t be purchased locally. We are sometimes able to take short notice orders, depending on the design and size of the order. A fee may apply for short notice orders.
Can we schedule a tasting or get some samples from you?
We only schedule tastings for weddings. However, we do offer free samples during fairs and vendor events that we participate in. You can schedule a tasting here. Schedule My Wedding Cake Tasting
For your wedding cake tasting, you may choose up to four cake flavors with complimenting frosting and fillings. We will package individual slices up for you and your fiancé to enjoy at home. This makes it so you can discuss the flavors you like with your partner and get back to us with the final decision. The charge for tastings is $20 per couple and will be deducted from your final balance if you decide to book with us.
Can I rent/borrow a cake stand from you?
Yes, we are happy to lend our cake stands out for a retainer fee. This amount will be refunded once the stand is returned to us in good condition. If we do not have the stand you would like to use, we are happy to order it if we are told in advance.
Can I get your recipes from you?
When testing and experimenting with new recipes, a lot of time and ingredients are involved. Because we have invested so much time to get these recipes up to the quality we would like, we do not share them. We will, however, occasionally post a free recipe or tutorial on our website and/or social media. If we use a recipe from an outside source, they are credited and you can get them from the credited source.
